It is not worth my time to grind to level 30, and shouldn’t be worth anyone’s time.  If 1,000,000 is needed to found a guild as well, another thing not worth my personal time.

Until changes are made, I’m outta here; I couldn’t care less about GM-run special events, since I can’t even hear them, because I’m in whisper mode 99 percent of the time helping other people or talking to friends, and I can’t even hear the global announcements!

I quit.

That is all.

Hmph, not a single reply, friend, GM, or otherwise.  Bringing it back up once, and going to bed.

Are Guilds really that important to you?

since you said "you quit" but yet you are waiting for a reply from gms and family etc, im guessing that you still like the game and just wanted to air your problems with the game out. i suggest just taking a break. i dont think gm's go here often since they are busy ingame with all the bugs. good luck to you!

This game is for having fun and interacting with other people. This is not a usual grind-fest. If you don't understand all that, I guess its goodbye. Good luck.

I think what he's saying is that the game is making you spend inordinate amounts of time  to get high enough level-wise to found a guild.  From the description of the game, it sounds like being in a guild is going to be very important.  (Personally, I'm hoping that joining a guild isn't so important that you can't do well in the game otherwise.)

Having fun and interacting with people?  You can get the equivalent of that in any IRC server.  Especially because that's all the interaction with other people you get in this game as of now, seeing as parties have yet to be implemented.

Last I checked, there's actually a game here.  The problem is that this game runs completely dry of content in less than two days of play as you pass level 20.  No more completable quests (there are two bugged ones though), no higher level gear to work toward, no house to make this time around.  The only remaining goal in the game until more content is added is making a guild, which requires level 30.  The highest level enemies in the game, excluding the boss lion because it respawns too slowly to grind on, are level 16.  The flat out ONLY way to get to level 30 is to grind like crazy.  Doing absolutely nothing but slaughtering thousands of them, seeing your exp bar gradually tick up a mere sliver every 5 or 6.  That's what this game is because a near impossible to achieve goal has been implemented.

Couldn't sleep yet.   But, someone gets it.  I wonder which high-level player it is... heh.

I was the leader of the (o':'o) guild, and we really wanted to regroup in the Founders' Beta.  It's not worth it for me or any other member to spend that much effort to put the guild back together.  It's the one feature still out there, and it's not worth carpal tunnel syndrome to get.

If one of the crazy folks who have been grinding nonstop for the past few days actually make a guild, good for them!  I just don't see it worthwhile to continue trying myself.  Not with the game in its present state.

Just caught this post now.

I'm sorry you've been so frustrated, Tom. I haven't been able to play a lot most days this week, so I'm not done with all the available content. I have been frustrated by some of the changes as well, though, and disappointed that guilds have apparently been put so far out of reach during the FB. I hope, as the FB goes on, we'll see you again, though! It's sad to see you go. :(

Hi Tom,

I apologize for the late reply, it's been a really hectic week.

Sorry to hear that.  During the Founders' Beta, we are bound to run across some bugs which we did not encounter in the previous closed beta due to the added features and larger number of players in the game.  We are really working hard to fix the issues you stated above and we are hoping for your continued patience.

Right now, the guild system is in our top priority along with the current server issues and some other balance adjustments.  We plan to have the guild requirements set to a reasonable level in the next update.  As for houses, we are currently testing the system and we wouldn't want to release it until we think its ready.  I'm not promising anything, but we are hoping to have it ready within the later half of the FB sessions.

Sincerely,
Bacon
